Well, maybe this meme has actually given me something to think about.

I am afraid no one is going to suddenly start using the word "Anarchy" with its correct definition. I, for one, cannot think of even one real life situation of anarchy without chaos.

I am inclined to think humans are maggots who need keepers. But maybe that is because I live in a house with crack addicts and was woken by a call at 6:30am saying there was a man outside my window lying on the sidewalk who slit his wrists simply to get attention from an inmate at this hellhole resident of this housing unit...and all I could think was, "oh, free entertainment." (The firefighter and ambulance did take him away) Living in a place where all I see are people carted off to prison (for their drug trade) or mental facilities (indeed it was only a month ago, a resident here was carted off to a mental hospital) I am incline to see humans as needing jailers, ...what would they do with freedom anyway except buy more crack.

Real Anarchy needs Real Optimism before it can deliver any freedom. And there is simply nothing for me nor anyone in my neighborhood to feel human optimistic. And if that's true of Shirley Ave.-area Revere, MA then it is damn true of Katrina's refugees. They have no homes, no possessions, and they want government assistance (and by definition, if you want government assistance, you don't want anarchy). The problem is the government they/we have doesn't give a rat's ass for them; Katrina (for Bush and Co.) is an inconvenience to them because they want to concentrate on their interventionist empire-building plans. Of course, now the world realizes fully how much of a (bad, unfunny) joke the USA government is, because they say they want to bring peace, order, stability to Iraq (should we spell it Irack as a merger with the word Attack?) and now the world sees they are incapable of restoring peace, order, stability to Louisiana and Mississippi. And the media is calling the chaos anarchy, and, well, indeed it is anarchy if you stop to consider tat Anarchy means "no leaders/no leadership" and you can't possibly believe what Bush provides can be called leadership.


I should not be writing when I am in this mood, this "humans are scum" mood, but the victims of Katrina are fucked, the people in my neighborhood are fucked, and the American people are seriously fucked. It is hopeless and the people predicting Armageddon have it backwards. Armageddon would be a relief, a reset, a "do over". The sad fact is the end is not here... people getting fucked over royally will keep being fucked over...democracy has failed and the other option, violent rebellion, would only make the prison builders happy and rich. We're fucked.
