hmm....where do I go with this?


I've seen too much LJ Drama to answer directly a former LJ friend directly. After all I did not insult what was written in his LJ blog: it's his blog after all, why should I question anything?

But the complaint was something found on my LJ info page.

For anyone who has not known me IRL for many years: yes, I was a Greek Orthodox seminarian, yes I used to believe in "God", and yes, I believe now that monotheism is the enemy of freedom. With animism and polytheism, many are the guides thus many are the cultures and culture value systems. With monotheism, only one is divine and all others must be crushed and cultures are decimated. Nudity becomes shameful, sex acts are stifled, works of fiction are declared the "Word of God" and used as weapons, and prayers to other deities are considered pacts with the devil. The first terrorist you met was not a member of the Taliban or Al Quaeda. The first terrorist you met was the minister, priest, rabbi or imam who explained to you that "God" was holy and you were not. And our world today is broken and bleeds because two gods, Yahweh and Allah feel they must stoke their followers to battle against one another in a battle to prove whose god is the one and only.


My beliefs are mine; your beliefs are yours. If my beliefs are über unacceptable to you, feel free to de-friend me. I will understand.

So, does Jesus want you to kill a Venezuelan dictator? Will Cat Stevens sing his heart out on the 700 Club? Let's just get schnokered on Rum and Schnapps and Midori and lots, and lots of beer. The shining ones who I pray to want me to strive for the best I can be...do some writing...do some ogamcasting...see how I might become a healing presence in the world...why does Jesus and Muhammad want so many dead...? It seems as if Yahweh and Allah won't share their toys or hold hands when they cross the multidimensional road, so they want everyone to run with scissors (and guns, and nuclear devices).
